This site exists because the phrase "epoxy floor cost calculator" usually leads to a box that asks for your square footage and multiplies it by a number somebody made up. That is not a calculation. The quantity a person actually needs — how much material, how much preparation, how long the room is unusable — is derivable, and deriving it is what this site does.
What it is
A set of eleven tools, each deriving one quantity that decides part of a resinous flooring job: the coating system and its film thickness, the gallons and kits that thickness represents, the surface profile that film needs and which preparation method can reach it, the moisture verdict, the repair volumes, the cure schedule at your slab temperature, the federal dust-control requirement, an installed cost built from those quantities, and a checklist for reading a quote.
They run entirely in your browser. There is no account, no login, no saved project and no server that sees what you type.
Who publishes it
Nathan Management, a California publisher of single-purpose calculators. We build small tools that answer one question properly rather than large sites that answer many questions loosely.
We are not coating contractors, we are not engineers, and we have no relationship with any resin manufacturer, distributor or installer. Nothing on this site is a referral and no outbound link earns anything.
What would make this worth trusting
Not our word for it. Three checkable things:
- The methodology page publishes every constant with its source, its verbatim quote and its retrieval date, generated from the same data the calculators use.
- The figures we could not source honestly are listed as refusals with the reasoning, rather than quietly filled with plausible numbers.
- The arithmetic is written out on the pages that use it, so you can check a result by hand rather than taking it.
What it cannot do
- It cannot see your slab. Everything derived here rests on measurements and observations you supply, and a wrong input produces a confident wrong answer.
- It cannot substitute for a product data sheet. Where manufacturer data governs — moisture limits, cure windows, chemical resistance — the tool asks for their number rather than supplying one.
- It cannot tell you what a job should cost in your area, and the reasoning for that refusal is on the methodology page.
- It cannot tell you whether a particular contractor is any good.
How it changes
Corrections are made in the data module rather than in page text, so every page displaying an affected figure updates together and the methodology page updates with them. The review date at the foot of every page moves when the figures are re-verified.
