Planning figures, and nothing stronger

What this site produces is a planning figure and nothing more. None of it is a quote, a bid, a specification, a guarantee of performance, or a professional opinion about your building.

What comes out rests entirely on what went in. A slab measured to the wall rather than to the concrete, a volume-solids figure read off the wrong line of a data sheet, or a moisture reading taken in the wrong season will each produce a confident-looking answer that is wrong, and the site has no way to detect it.

This is not professional advice

We are not your contractor, your engineer, your industrial hygienist or your building inspector. A floor coating that is failing can be a moisture problem, a preparation problem, a product problem or a temperature problem, and separating those requires somebody on site with the floor in front of them.

Where the stakes are meaningful — and a commercial floor out of service is meaningful — get a professional opinion. What this site is genuinely good for is arriving at that conversation already holding the measurements and the questions.

Manufacturer data controls

Where this site produces a film thickness, a coverage rate or a schedule, that is a planning figure to be checked against the technical data sheet of the product you actually buy. The manufacturer's data sheet governs on moisture limits, pot life, recoat windows, temperature range and chemical resistance, and our figures are labelled as assumptions wherever they are ours.

Safety and regulation

The dust-control page reads a published federal table and reports what that table requires. It is not a compliance service, it is not a substitute for a written exposure control plan, and it does not cover every hazard on a coating job — solvent vapour, confined spaces, hot work and slip risk during application all sit outside it.

Local rules govern. Nothing here overrides your building code, your air district's coating rules, your waste disposal requirements or any workplace safety obligation you carry. Where this site describes a general principle and your jurisdiction says otherwise, your jurisdiction is right.

Limitation of liability

The site is offered as it stands, with no warranty of any kind attached to it. So far as the law permits, no liability is accepted for any loss or damage that follows from using it, and that includes decisions taken on the strength of a figure it produced.

Where local law does not allow part of that exclusion to stand, the remainder still applies as far as that law allows it to.
